Claudio Simonetti - Interview with Italo Disco Godfather

the Red Bull music academy has a lot of artist lecture videos online and i found eg this interview with Claudio Simonetti.

Though born and initially raised in Brazil, Claudio Simonetti is synonymous with Italian music; in the '80s as a pioneer of Italo disco, but before that as the composer of soundtracks for Italian horror films, such as Suspiria and Dawn Of The Dead with his progressive rock band Goblin. The son of a famous father, Enrico Simonetti, he was born into a musical family and even once spent 15 weeks at No.1 in the Italian charts only to be knocked off by his dad. The story of a remarkable career.

For a synth obsessed person like me, the geartalk is the highlight and it is great when he talks about Linn Drums , PPG waveterm and other stuff.
